It’s the beginning of June and we have two great reasons to stay inside for the weekend: the Reign of Gaming Invitational and the Garena Premier League!

Reign of Gaming Invitational

The Reign of Gaming Invitational sprang from the fiendish minds over at Team Curse: set 32 teams from North America and Europe at each other’s throats until only four are left standing, then invite the finalists to San Francisco for an epic championship throwdown. The only thing left is to set the finalists loose and see who emerges with the championship trophy in their fists.

Teams arriving in San Francisco include two from Europe and two from North America:

  • Team SoloMid
  • Team SoloMid.Evolved
  • Absolute Legends
  • Team Teamless

With a $10,000 grand prize at stake – part of a $20,000 prize pool for the weekend – no one’s leaving anything behind. All four teams participate in a round-robin tournament to determine seeding; the top two teams face off for the championship, while the lower-seeded teams compete for third place! The schedule for the weekend is as follows:

Friday, June 1

  • 3:00 PM Pacific Time: TSM vs. Absolute Legends
  • 6:00 PM Pacific Time: TSM.Evo vs. Teamless
  • 9:00 PM Pacific Time: TSM vs. TSM.Evo

Saturday, June 2

  • 9:00 AM Pacific Time: Teamless vs. Absolute Legends
  • 12:00 PM Pacific Time: TSM.EVO vs. Absolute Legends
  • 3:00 PM Pacific Time: Teamless vs. TSM

Sunday, June 3

  • 9:00 AM Pacific Time: 3rd-place match (2 lowest point-earners from round robin)
  • 12:00 PM Pacific Time: Finals (2 highest point-earners from round robin)

Look for tournament overview at LoLPro, and watch the tournament live on Twitch TV starting Friday evening!

Garena Premier League: Week 3 and 4

The Garena Premier League – Asia’s first regional, fully professional League of Legends eSports league – rolls on with the third and fourth week of its 20-week season. With a $40,000 prize pool at stake throughout the season, and overall points determining the placement, every match counts! The top three finishers will fight for the season championship, as well as their national honor. With 16 weeks left to go, it’s still anyone’s tournament to win.

This weekend sees six more matches take place: two each day from Friday, June 1 until Sunday, June 3. Check out the schedule below:
